The Youtube Community
The Youtube community can give people a sense of power. They are able to do more on this digital portal rather than in the real world showing that they can express themselves to their true manner for millions of people to see. Mcmurria says that it really is like a community. It is like going into a grocery store and seeing someone you know. In my opinion i love the Youtube community even if people are against it. It is great for people to express themselves and have a following on something they love to view.
Newspapers and Thinking the Unthinkable(review)
- The newspaper company saw the internet coming from miles away and they thought of plans to conform to the changes that were about to occur
- One was to partner with America online, which is a fast growing subscription service that is not chaotic.
- Another plan was to educate the public on the copyright laws.
- Micro Payments were another plan
- The Nuclear plan: sue copyright infringers and make an example out of them.
- Elizabeth Einstein raises a point that speaks about that you shouldn’t always focus on the outcome, but the transition between what made the outcome.
- Old systems will still work even hen the new systems are put in place.
- Society doesn’t need newspapers, it needs journalism

Real Life Cyborgs
The possibility that us as humans can replace any body part with a robotic part. Cyborgs will become more relevant in society in the next couple years because as everything else that we use in history, from time to time it gets bigger, faster, and stronger. So why not do that to ourselves? I don’t think it is completely okay but if it can help out individuals with health, mental, or physical issues then i guess it fine by my book.

- Early electronic virtual communities and the invention of the telegraph and phonograph
- Franklin D. Roosevelt’s “fireside chats.”: Served to create virtual community through the technology of radio

- BBS(Bulletin Board Services)- Served as a virtual version pf an actual physical bulletin board and several people could post notes on them.

- 3D cyberspace laid groundwork of things like the flight simulator used by the air force
- Seeing people interact with technology everyday and everywhere has become normal.
Artifacts of the future reflection
From looking at all of the predictions of what will be in the future(now) and their fulfillments. My favorite fulfillment that went through was when back to the future predicted about the hover board. Lexus has put out a hover board that actually works but it is not as practical as the ones from the movie, considering that you need liquid nitrogen to keep the board from over heating. Overall I think that the fulfillments that went through are pretty accurate just not as animated as it was in the predictions. Lastly, I enjoy getting information from QR codes. It is like having live links of information anywhere you go and all you need to do is scan it.
Final Cut Film Review
In my opinion, I truly enjoyed the film “Final Cut.” I liked the concept of the movie but I would not like to have that exact technology in our lives today. It would be easy to have that technology but to actually do it would just be wrong. To have your entire life monitored without your permission is just wrong. To have to live the rest of your life knowing that it is recorded must be extremely difficult. Today there are certain technologies that are similar to this such as when we used Alexa in class and it records and remembers everything you say to it. Or how there is all of this access to your social media, which for some people shows their entire life and what they do on a day to day business. There is also the fact about the government having access to your computer camera to see what you do through there. I think it’s interesting how our lives can be recorded but I don’t think it should ever be done in this fashion.

- Computer mediated communication(CMC) was first made for organizational reasons in the work field.
- Many internet users invest strong feelings in these ways of communication.
- Social aggregations that emerge form the Net when people carry on those public discussions long enough, with sufficient human feeling, to form webs of personal relationships.” -Rheingold
- All these online communities have similarities for the users. Most of the people are on these communities for the same reasons.
- If the people in these sub communities are all a part of the same thing,(same organization or same university) The online relationship will stay stronger.
- The temporal structure of CMC is either synchronistic or asynchronistic
- Synchronistic: All participants are online simultaneously and read and respond to each other.
- Asynchronistic: Participants do not need to be online simultaneously and can read and respond at later times.
- CMC’s are typically anonymous but given time, people are given online personalities and identities.
- People in these CMC’s develop relationships and become friends on different platforms.
Blog improvement
Below is a list that my has constructed to what we believe goes into having a good blog. After seeing this list I need to improve on making my blog easier on the viewer’s eyes, grasping attention, and working on the entire layout of my blog. I need more videos and pictures to make my blog experience more enjoyable for everyone.
